Seattle Art Museum Exhibit: Men of War

Last week I popped into the Seattle Art Museum better known as SAM. One of the many perks that come with living in Downtown Seattle! Picassso is the main attraction right now, however, the photos I would like to share are not his work. The coat you see below is made up of Dog Tags. Just Dog Tags. It is to remind us of the thousands of soldiers who fight for our freedom.

Speechless Sundays: New Art Installation Downtown Seattle

On a walkabout in Downtown Seattle, there are always new and exciting discoveries. Yesterday around Westlake Center at Fifth and Pine, I thought I was coming up on a new art installation...Or was it?

As we approached this masterpiece I noticed something strange.

Wallingford Center is one of my favorite neighborhood attractions, with Boutique shops for toy and clothes. Even the Ace Hardware Store takes you back in time when you stop in for something. For us, it is mandatory to stop in Trophy Cupcakes and share a sweet potato walnut cupcake piled high with whipped marshmallow frosting! The pressed coffee makes this delectable treat even better!

Patience for Pike's Parking

Pikes Place Parking in Seattle, Washington may appear overwhelming and that is when you know you have arrived. It is worth the wait to experience the high energy of the market. Being that there are hundreds of vendors selling everything from bananas to handbags, make sure you set aside enough money for parking. $8 for up to two hours may seem like a great deal, however, there is so much to look at you are best served to be an early bird. I can assure you, your time and $10 will be well spent for parking between the hours of 9:30am and 9:30 pm.
